I've always been a creative kind of girl. It started out small with finger paintings in preschool and I gradually became more imaginative (I once made a pretend movie projector out of a chair turned upside-down, a tambourine and A LOT of Scotch Tape).
I'm a proud "Do-It-Yourselfer." My love for home improvement shows has fueled my need to constantly rearrange the decor in my home.
I love change. Not the jingle, I-just-broke-a-dollar kind. But the kind that reminds you that you're alive. I'm not content to just 'be'. I think that's why I love Graphic Design. I'm always working on a new project. I don't get bored with colors or images because I never have to work with them for too long at a time.
I began designing blogs full-time in July 2009. Before that, I was doing A LOT of designing, but had no expectation of turning it into my career. It is such a blessing to finally be doing what I absolutely love!
I have my BA in Communication from Oakland University. Nope, no formal Graphic Design training here, folks!
I don't design 'by the rules'. Who made up all these rules, anyway? I use my sense of style and imagination to create my designs.
If you like it, go with it.
